This watch was purchased as a gift so this review will be be essentially of initial impressions only. It comes in a decent, sleeved, presentation box with magnetic closure which is nice. The watch is quite chunky for a rugged, sporty look and feel, and has decent weight to it. The plastic strap feels alright and fits my relatively small wrist (~6.75") at its tightest setting. The watch case is pretty large at 47mm across and 17mm thick. As for construction, although the chrome finish is smooth without defects, it is obviously plated plastic and takes away from an otherwise expensive looking timepiece. I would have much preferred the satin finish the ad appears to show or even the brushed finish the steel back and buckle has. The strap is attached to the case by small screws and there is a fair amount of play which leads to a flimsy feel to it. It's not that noticeable if the watch is worn snugly, though. The lens feels like plastic and appears to come with a screen protector. I'd recommend a glass protector (36mm is just about perfect) as I'm sure the plastic lens will be prone to scratching. The analog watch runs a bit slow compared to the digital, about 4 seconds per day. The hour, minute, and second hands have glow in the dark illumination but the watch face doesn't. The digital display is small and hard to read unless under direct lighting, so rely on the analog face most of the time or use the very effective green backlight. The digital stopwatch is easy to use and measures down to a hundredth of a second. The digital alarm is a nice touch and decently loud. Overall, it's an attractive watch that appears to be a bargain at under $15 (even more so when free!)

I don't know how they do it

The watch is thicker and better than I imagined.
The texture is also cooler than I imagined.
I want to buy a different color too!
